Virtual Puchero Fair in Cochabamba

 Due to the health emergency, this year the traditional fair of the Puchero, the Concertina and the Accordion will be held virtually on Sunday, February 7. The event will be broadcast on the official Facebook page of the GAM of Cochabamba and the dishes can be ordered at home by delivery. The traditional carnival ensembles will be entertaining during the morning accompanied by renowned personalities who every year bring out a smile with their verses and performances. The event has the support of different organizations, among which the Casa de la Cultura stands out.

Torotoro - land of dinosaurs

 Our tour begins in the city of Cochabamba, where we will board a minibus that will take us to our destination. The stop is located on Republica Av and Vallegrande St where there are departures at all hours for Bs. 35 (5 USD). After three and a half hours, passing through beautiful landscapes with mountains of different colors, colorful towns and various rivers, we arrive at our destination where the adventure begins.  Located on 'Cerro San Pedro' on the east side of the city of Cochabamba, is the second largest Christ in the world with 40.44 meters (132 ft) (34.20 m -112 ft- from the image and 6.24 m -20 ft- from the pedestal), only behind the Cristo Rey de Swiebodzin in Poland. Located at 2842 masl (9324 ft) it rises almost 300 meters (985 ft) above the city and can be seen from practically the entire city. Built in commemoration of the arrival of Pope John Paul II, it was inaugurated in 1994, after 7 years of construction by a private initiative of some citizens. The statue was conceived with open arms to ask the protection of Christ to the city and to remember the hospitality of the people of Cochabamba. Boa's blue flights are back, ticket reduction in Bolivia

A SUCCESFUL FEICOBOL IS OVER UNTIL NEXT YEAR

 Last Sunday the 28th version of Feicobol closed with fireworks and the presence of prominent people and other public figures, at the Alalay fairgrounds. This version was described as successful, which moved more money than last year and without a doubt also attracted more visitors. Although the reports will only be released on Wednesday, the preliminaries announce that at least 54.1 million dollars were moved in the fair and the business roundtable and more than 303 thousand people walked the streets of the fair in this ten days . In total, 1106 Bolivian and foreign companies participated, showing everything from the latest generation construction material to innovative Chinese vehicles that will just arrive on the Bolivian market. So far some companies have billed up to a million and a half dollars in sales and pre-sales, closing deals with companies from abroad and within.

OPENING 28th INTERNATIONAL FAIR OF COCHABAMBA (FEICOBOL)

Today at 9:00 p.m. the 28th version of Feicobol is inaugurated in a renovated fairground with a new food court, new pavilions distributed in more than 150,000 m2 of surface in which national and international exhibitors will show for 10 days (Thursday 28 April - Sunday May 8) its products, industries and benefits. Tickets are available to the population at a cost of Bs. 20 during the week and Bs. 30 on weekends because also musical groups and other artistic numbers are presented. The fair is located in the Alalay Fairground to the south of the lagoon of the same name on the Bolivia Circuit Av. Villa Tunari, in the heart of Bolivia

Villa Tunari is known for being the gateway to the tropical Chapare and Cochabamba.   To reach this city must descend from the mountains of Corani over 3600 meters (11800 ft) to reach 300 meters (984 ft), passing through the spurs of the Cordillera Oriental and many other places where nature remains intact.   With a population of 4000 inhabitants, Villa Tunari is established as an important city for tourism and trade. It is 166 km (104 mi) from Cochabamba and 312 km (195 mi) from Santa Cruz so the trip can be on the move itself or by bus from both Cochabamba and Santa Cruz.   The passage to this place round the 30 to 40 Bs (6 - 7 $us) depending on the season, buses leave from the lagoon Alalay although it can take a bus interdepartmental and stay in this place.
