A unique adventure in Lomas de Arena Park
The Lomas de Arena Regional Park is located 12 km southeast of the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra. To get to the Lomas de Arena you can take Av. Santos Dumont in the direction of Plan 4,000, follow the path that ends in the hills and walk a few kilometers to the dunes. You can also use public transport since bus 21 reaches this site. Upon entering, a fee of Bs 10 (1.5 USD) is paid. It covers an area of more than 13,000 ha, of which 3,000 ha are sand distributed between dunes, savanna, hills and a main lagoon. It is recommended to visit on a sunny day with little wind, bring plenty of water, a hat, sunscreen and glasses.
